Wisconsin bear killed after attacking couple in home

A couple was attacked by a bear inside their northern Wisconsin home Friday night after the animal broke through their window, authorities said.

The husband and wife were both injured, but their children ? who were asleep in their bedrooms at the time of the attack ? were unharmed, the Taylor County Sheriff?s Office (TCSO) said in a news release. The husband shot and killed the bear.

The couple first saw the bear outside eating from a bird feeder, so they opened their window and yelled at it to try to get it to leave, TCSO said.

I guess they didnt see the cub. These geniuses thought since it was a black bear, that yelling at it would work.

I will never camp out after an experience with a rabid raccoon, but Im not afraid of black bears. They are mostly harmless.

They basically lured the bear there with the bird seed. If you have bears in the area, why the fuck would you do that??? The birds can eat just fine without your goddamn feeder.

Agreed. They should have known better. Bears and going to Bear and if you live in their territory, you're going to have to deal with them going through your trash and eating your bird seed. The bear was only doing what her instincts told her to do. Protect her young from humans that were being intimidating.
