Treveon Isaiah Taylor Jr. was allegedly decapitated during birth

    https://www.cnn.com/2023/08/09/us/ge...uit/index.html

The county medical examiner?s office has not released the cause of the baby?s death. The office still is working to complete the baby?s autopsy, the office?s director, Brian Byers, told CNN.

According to the lawsuit, Ross went into labor on July 9, and her doctor, ?attempted to deliver the baby vaginally using different methods including applying traction to the baby?s head.?

During the attempted delivery, ?the baby did not properly descend due to shoulder dystocia,? a condition when a baby?s shoulders become stuck in the vaginal canal, the lawsuit says.

The physician ?failed to practice according to medical standards,? the complaint reads. The complaint says the doctor ?grossly? and ?negligently applied excessive traction? on the head and neck of the baby and ?failed to do a Cesarean section in a timely and proper manner, resulting in Treveon Isaiah Taylor Jr.?s decapitation and death.?

In a statement to CNN on Wednesday afternoon, Southern Regional Medical Center said it ?denies the allegations in the complaint referencing the hospital.?

That is grossly negligent. He should have done an emergency c-section. They have every right to sue.

Yeah. Sadly, I've heard of this happening before. I used to work for a law firm that represented doctors and insurance companies with malpractice suits. They have every right to sue and I hope that they get a HUGE payday because this is HORRIFIC and preventable. I can't imagine giving birth and having my baby decapitated while it was STILL INSIDE OF ME. That is some life altering bullshit that will never go away.

OB's have to pay the highest insurance rates.

My friend had her daughter stuck for 9 hours before they did the csection. I would have been pissed. I should add the baby was fine.

Im curious to know the age and sex of this doctor.

The physician was absolutely in the wrong here. There was dystocia presentation, which required a specific standard of care that was not followed. Period.

I wondered what it meant in people, because dystocia in animals is failure to give birth within 30 minutes of going into labor.

Not to mention, they propped the baby's head on the body in an attempt to cover up the decapitation. Family only found out 4 days later from the morgue.
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/couple-su...205828361.html

Hours later, the lawsuit claims that doctors performed a C-section and found the baby decapitated. Instead of telling the couple, the lawsuit says doctors tried to cover up what happened by telling them they didn?t have the right to a free autopsy, encouraging cremation and concealing what happened when they asked to see the child.

?When they wrapped the baby up tightly, they propped the baby?s head on top of the blanket to make it appear like the head was attached when it wasn?t,? Edmond said.
The family said it wasn’t until the funeral home raised the red flag that the parents would learn the truth, four days after Ross went into labor.

    She's a middle age woman.

Also, this comment on the story SACG posted made me laugh, but they're totally correct.
I'm not a physician and I don't play one on tv or SM but it seems like a C-section determination should have been made earlier. The secondary crime is trying to cover it up.

    Fucking hell

According to the lawsuit, doctors “pulled on the baby’s head and neck so hard and manipulated them so hard, that the bones in the baby’s skull, head and neck were broken.”

Shes been practicing since 2005, she should know better.
Was the head in the birth canal and she just kept on pulling on it?

The more I read, the worse this story gets.

I read the bio on the place and the Doctor and it doesnt mention childbirth, like at all. I wonder if they dont do births often.

I agree that they didn't do a lot of births, that's not her area of expertise it seems. However, she seems to be a very qualified and experienced surgeon, so I don't understand why she wouldn't jump at the C-section vs a natural birth.

Also, she does a lot of vaginal rejuvination which makes me side eye her period. A lot of that is misogynistic whooey. She also does skin tightening.

It gets worse. I just read on another site that they did the c-section and removed the baby's torso, and the head was delivered vaginally

Why do I read crap like this while pregnant?!

My nephew has a permanent arm injury from a obgyn pulling his arm while trying to get him out of the birth canal.
Unfortunately, I don't think my sil sued for enough money.

My husband said during my delivery, they were about to use a kiwi (some kind of suction tool), but luckily, my kid decided to pop out.

Thanks! I plan on doing vaginally again. It's less recovery time.

Thanks! I still can't see them. I think it's because you did it via Stories and they are only available for a short time, but I am not sure.

My guess is a girl this time. Congrats!
