A Pinellas County attorney is missing ?under suspicious circumstances,? according to the Largo Police Department and social media posts.

Largo police issued a four-sentence media release on Friday afternoon that said Steven Cozzi, 41, was last seen on Tuesday and that an investigation into his disappearance was ?active and ongoing.?

Employees told WFLA that soon after Cozzi had gone into the bathroom, they saw blood and smelled bleach in the restroom, but did not see Cozzi.

It reminds me of that case where the person went in to the building but never left and was never found. It was from a long time ago, but I can't remember the specifics because of my Swiss Cheese brain.

Close! But the case I'm thinking of was an apartment building. There's been a few. One I watched a video about yesterday where in Taiwan a woman entered an apartment building where she didn't live with her young child. The security officer asked what she was doing there and she said, "Just visiting a friend". Went in to the elevator, took off her jacket and shoes and the child's jacket and left them in the elevator when she got to the top floor and then disappeared. The security guy noticed she never came back down so checked the footage and it showed her and the kid heading to the stairs which would lead to the roof so he thought the worst and called the police, but they never found them or evidence that they were even on the roof. They've been missing ever since.

Creepy.

Florida plastic surgeon charged with murder after attorney goes missing

A Tampa-area plastic surgeon has been charged with murder, accused of killing a lawyer missing since last week from a firm that represents former co-workers the doctor has been suing in a business dispute.

Largo police arrested Dr. Tomasz Kosowski on a first-degree murder charge on Saturday in the disappearance of Steven Cozzi, who was last seen Tuesday at Blanchard Law, the firm where he worked.

Police said Sunday that while Cozzi's body has not been found, they have evidence that he was killed by Kosowski.

They said Cozzi's wallet, phone and keys were found in the law office along with a significant amount of blood in the bathroom. They say a suspicious person and car were seen at the office, leading them to Kosowski. A search of the doctor's Tarpon Springs home found evidence that led to his arrest, police said. They did not elaborate.

The article mentioned bad reviews, so I found a couple of legitimate ones (recent ones are calling him a murderer ):

Dr Kalowoski has disfigured me - his contract reads he will ?repair? any negative outcomes.
He disfigured me and lied about repairing the mess. He almost killed me w MRSA. He is the worst person I?ve ever met.

The worst surgeon morally--in his agreement he claims he will revise and revisions needed within a year. - everything he touches needs revising but he didn't- he lied and blew me off. I live w a $15,000 facelift that is worse than the double chin and now have one breast after the failed reconstruction. He decided he he didn't want to do it because he wasn't paid. He was- medicare paid - for the breast and I paid for the "facelift" he lied- plastic surgeons get paid prior to cosmetic surgery. His moral agreement was broken a long time ago.Dr. Kowoski performed these surgeries and never revised them - look at my photos- nasty doctor - stay away. He left me in unstable condition with a breathing tube. Never called the hospital to find out if I was breathing after a breast reconstruction - stay away.

No, the law firm was representing his previous employer and co-workers in a lawsuit he filed against them.

This doctor seems batshit crazy to me...even before he murdered someone in a bathroom.

In court records, prosecutors cited three aggravating factors from Florida statutes as reasons why they are seeking the death penalty: the crime was committed for monetary gain; the crime was “especially heinous, atrocious, or cruel”; and the crime was a homicide committed in “a cold, calculated, and premeditated manner.”

They still haven't found Steven's body.

The family of a missing Largo attorney filed a lawsuit against the doctor accused of killing their son.

According to a civil lawsuit filed in Pinellas County, Cozzi's family is suing the doctor accused of killing him.

The family is also suing MH Belcher Property, LLC, which owns and manages the building where Cozzi worked as an attorney. Blanchard Law leased the space from MH Belcher Property, LLC, according to the lawsuit.
