Madalina Cojocari (11) has been missing since 11/23/22. Her mom and stepfather didn't report her missing until 12/15

I have a feeling that this one is not going to end well, but since we they're not yet saying she'd dead, I'm putting it here. She was last seen 11/23, Mom (Diana Cojocari (37) and Stepdad Christopher Palmiter (60) Have been arrested for not reporting her disappearance to police. They only reported it to a SRO, and then not until 12/15.

There's obviously some interesting family dynamics going on with the age difference and Mom being an Eastern European immigrant, I also find it interesting that neither of them have any pictures of any of their kids on their Facebooks. It's also interesting how long she was absent from school without questions being raised.

It's always the Jesus freaks that take out their own kids. It's obvious to me that the parents are involved. Not much on Mom's account and only 19 friends. He has ultra "Patriot" and Jesus crap all over his. It paints the picture of a possible abusive environment where he was controlling and in charge.

Also, exactly what you said about the school. Why didn't they raise the alarm at all? Isn't that supposed to be some kind of safety net for children?

After posting this I read the WebSleuths thread. There's a lot of speculation that he did it and she was coerced into helping and someone suggested that maybe the school was asking more and more questions of them as the absence dragged on they ran out of excuses so they finally had to say "she's been gone this whole time"

Their defense is probably going to be to opt for a bench trial and say "she died of the flu or COVID and we just didn't report it because we were scared of getting in trouble for not getting her vaccinated and you can't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that's not what happened." If this sounds bizarre, remember it worked for Rebecca Ruud.

They obviously did it. There is no reason as why they wouldnt report her missing the day she "disappeared". Im surprised they didnt concoct a story like Casey Anthony saying she ran away or something.

That's the impression I got from their Facebooks. That he was maybe controlling. She had only 19 friends which leads me to believe that he was demanding to approve or disapprove who she accepted on there. 99% of them women.

Still doesn't excuse her not raising the alarm though. I get not being able to leave an abusive situation, but not reporting him killing the daughter on the sly? Nope.

My gut feeling is Dad took her on the trip and killed her and her body is in a lake or shallow grave somewhere between North Carolina and Michigan.

He absolutely killed her. The fact that the Mom had every opportunity to go to the authorities and didn't makes her just as guilty. He wasn't even THERE for days on end so she could have done something and didn't.

CORNELIUS, N.C. ? Newly obtained search warrants reveal Madalina Cojocari's mother asked a distant relative if he would help with "smuggling" her and Madalina away. She also told him she was in a "bad relationship" with her husband Christopher Palmiter and that she wanted a divorce. According to the warrants, investigators reviewed phone records revealing "extensive communication on Dec. 2, 2022" with that relative. That person's phone records showed "multiple calls to phone numbers belonging to unidentified targets involved in ongoing T3 drug/narcotic trafficking investigations." ...Records also show investigators twice used a K-9 to search Cojocari's car in February. On Thursday, Feb. 10, 2023, at 1350 hours the K-9 alerted on the driver's side door of the vehicle, suspect Diana Cojocari's vehicle," the warrant said. "K-9 is trained to alert any and all narcotics. The dog also alerted on the vehicle on Monday, Feb. 13, 2023, when a search warrant for the vehicle was obtained." The warrant later suggested people "associated with narcotics activity are also associated with human smuggling."

This makes me think Madalina is still alive and being hidden somewhere by Mom and/or her extended family.

Mom named as a suspect in June. No new charges are brought, and upon her release from jail on the charges of failing to report a disappearance, promptly leaves the country.
