I don't remember my source, but I heard the back entrance leads directly to the second floor. The second floor couple were an unfortunate casualty. Maybe, the killer didn't know about the first floor? Also, prior tenants said you can't hear noises from the other floors from the first floor.

Agree. This is almost a mirror image of how the cops treated the Delphi case. They obviously have no clue how to handle a case like this and if it's not done right from day one by people that know what they're doing, then they've screwed the pooch. A murder like this should have left PLENTY of evidence behind and they obviously weren't thorough enough. Just like with Delphi. They should have called on the experts right away while the crime scene was fresh.

I'll be interested to see why he was a person of interest. I notice that they keep using that term instead of him being an actual suspect. I'm skeptical.
Meanwhile, I read that they're releasing the crime scene back to the owners and cleaning crews. Not sure if that's the best idea, but anything that would have been worthwhile in there would be considered contaminated by now anyway, I guess.
