Pass crazy restrictive laws that label routine health care as 'baby murder'...what could go wrong?! In other news, the GOP was labeling the 10 year old that was raped and got pregnant as fake news. They seriously thought a 10 year old couldn't get pregnant. But these are the people making health care laws for women. You can't make this shit up.

Texas hospitals are refusing to see people with serious pregnancy issues for fear of violating post-Roe abortion ban, medical group says
I got into an arguement with someone about being able to become pregnant at 10. My bff in grade school had a teacher ask her to wear a bra in second grade because she had boobs. She had her period at 9, and her mom said to her "now you can have babies". She was so upset and confused.
Thats messed up that pregnant people with complications cant get help. I thought they were allowed to do abortions if the mother's life is in danger?
Now that I'm here, I'm tempted to just block all of this shit out. Most over here don't even realize what's happening in America and when I tell them they think I'm lying. Then when they realize that I'm not, they basically don't want to know about it. They have a mentality over here of minding their own business instead of trying to save the world. Part of me finds that frustrating and horrible and the other part of me is jealous that they can do that.
Why can't I just bring you all here? I wish I could.
Some people in my family have been like that, burying their head in the sand. It makes me want to scream and Im a pretty mild mannered.
Can I come to Ireland? Ohio sucks balls.
I took an early pregnancy test at 6 weeks one day and I was negative, the next day, I was positive. I called the doctor to make an appointment and They told me the pregnany is barely viable at 8 weeks, they will see me at 10 weeks If I would have just taken the 1 test, I wouldnt have known I was pregnant. The 6 week thing is a fucking joke.
ETA:So the first 2 weeks dont count. So basically you cant get an abortion after 4 weeks, which is barely a missed period, and thats if you are regular. Here’s the thing: Because of the way pregnancy is usually measured, you’re not actually pregnant during the first two weeks or so of your pregnancy. Healthcare providers calculate the length of an average pregnancy as 40 weeks, starting from the first day of your last menstrual period—this is known as the LMP dating method.
A woman with a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy sought emergency care at the University of Michigan Hospital after a doctor in her home state worried that the presence of a fetal heartbeat meant treating her might run afoul of new restrictions on abortion.
At one Kansas City, Mo., hospital, administrators temporarily required ?pharmacist approval? before dispensing medications used to stop postpartum hemorrhages, because they can also be also used for abortions.
And in Wisconsin, a woman bled for more than 10 days from an incomplete miscarriage after emergency room staff would not remove the fetal tissue amid a confusing legal landscape that has roiled obstetric care.
In the three weeks of turmoil since the Supreme Court overturned the constitutional right to abortion, many physicians and patients have been navigating a new reality in which the standard of care for incomplete miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies and other common complications is being scrutinized, delayed ? even denied ? jeopardizing maternal health, according to the accounts of doctors in multiple states where new laws have gone into effect.
While state abortion bans typically carve out exceptions when a woman?s life is endangered, the laws can be murky, prompting some obstetricians to consult lawyers and hospital ethics committees on decisions around routine care.
Physicians face confusion and fear in post-Roe world
?People are running scared,? said Mae Winchester, a specialist in maternal-fetal medicine in Ohio who, days after the state?s new restrictions went into effect, sought legal advice before she performed an abortion on a pregnant woman with a uterine infection. ?There?s a lot of unknowns still left out there.?
The need to intervene in a pregnancy with the same medication or surgical procedure used in elective abortions is not unusual.
As many as 30 percent of pregnancies end in miscarriage, the spontaneous demise of a fetus, commonly because of chromosomal abnormalities. The methods of managing a miscarriage are the same as for abortion, using a combination of drugs ? mifepristone and misoprostol ? or a brief surgery known as dilation and curettage, or D&C, to dilate the cervix and scrape tissue from the uterus. Left untreated, some miscarriages resolve naturally; others lead to complications such as infection or profuse bleeding.
?It?s important for people to realize early pregnancy failure is common,? said Rashmi Kudesia, a fertility specialist in Houston.
Doctors in Texas ? where since last September abortion has been illegal after the detection of fetal cardiac activity, around six weeks of pregnancy ? report that pharmacists have begun questioning patients about miscarriage medications, suspecting they may be used instead for abortions.
?It is traumatizing to stand in a pharmacy and have to tell them publicly that you are having a miscarriage, that there is not a heartbeat,? Kudesia said.

Next is our right to vote. If women aren't capable of making decisions for their own body, how the hell are we capable of making decisions for the country?
Fuck outta here.
And can we please fix the misspelling in the title? It's driving me crazy
Dad and husband here.
If you vote Republican anymore, you are a goddamn misogynistic asshole. No, I won't tolerate excuses about what they "really stand for", because fuck you, this is exactly what the party of R stands for.
Censorship. Pro military. Anti citizen, particularly anti BLACK citizen. Anti Privacy. Anti Human Rights. Pro Christianity. Anti everygoddamnthingelse.
But you pick out the parts you see as their platform, like fiscal responsibility, despite the fact that the only Presidents who have kept us in the black have been Democrats.
The bullshit economy we are seeing right now, the joblessness, the low wages, these are all results of a pro business, anti worker system of economics, forwarded and made much worse by that assshole who bankrupted a fucking casino, and never paid his fucking bills.
Ladies, nothing matters more than your ability to make decisions for yourselves, and that decision is being eroded and stripped away daily at the moment. Soon we may be back to having to have you get your husband to cosign your paycheck so that you can cash it. You laugh, but we live in the land of the dumbest motherfucking assholes on this entire rock.
What? Walgreens won't fill your birth control? If it were up to me, you've read my posts.
You don't want to sell me Durex? Get ready for the assreaming of your fucking life, motherfucker.
IDK who the fuck forwarded the idea that your dumbass religious beliefs were as important as my right to freedom from them, but they need an asswhoopin' of Biblical proportion.
Our congressman piece of shit was one of the OB/GYNs who helped deliver my oldest. He is a piece of human shit and voted along party lines to get rid of abortion access here in Texas.
And anyone who disagrees with abortion, I will strongly remind you that:
THE ONLY PERSON YOU GET TO MAKE REPRODUCTIVE DECISIONS FOR IS THE ONE IN THE MIRROR.
You've never had to care for the toddler child of a 12 year old mother, so you can take your anti abortion bullshit and stick it str8 up your fucking ass.
You've never had a newborn die in your arms on his fourth day of life because his parents signed away their parental rights when they found out he had a devastating heart defect.
You've never heard the wail of a mother who lost her baby to pertussis because that stupid bitch believed the misinformation about vaccines.
You know absolutely jack shit. You just want your views enforced on everyone.
You've never taken care of pregnant women so ill that the only thing keeping them alive are the fluids they are getting from a PICC line in their arm, feeding them for 16 hours a day because the growing child inside them is taking everything from them and causing them to vomit constantly.
I have news for you: things are rarely ever black or white. I've known this for a long fucking time but I'll be goddamned if this isn't a brand fucking new concept to far too many.
If you are fucking retarded enough to believe that abortion isn't healthcare, then you are almost too goddamn stupid to breathe. That's a hill I will die on.
Not only the above, but:
Abortion is no one else's goddamn business but the person who needs or wants it, and the physician who will be providing it for her. No one else. And I say that as the father of two adults. I don't have to be consulted just because I'm the sperm donor, hell no. Not my pregnancy, not my business.
TBH i am absolutely disgusted to live in a time in this godforsaken shithole when our knowledge of the human condition is being overridden by society's belief in faerie tales and supernatural bullshit.
Fuck humanity. If it weren't for those of us who do the right thing, this place would be an even bigger shithole than it is right now.
And every single piece of shit conservative SC justice can kiss the darkest part of America's ass. As can that piece of shit Donald Trump and all of his cult followers. The Republican party denied Obama a pick and allowed conservative shitholes two anti common sense justices to be placed.
Ladies, your rights to make decisions is one of the original tenets of being human. Now, this country has placed limits on those rights. I don't know who needs to hear this, but you need to burn this fucking country to the ground until you get what is owed you, back. Your right to bodily autonomy and the decisions to do what you wish.
I'll be right there beside you to torch whatever needs to be lit, and I will support you in your fight until I draw my last breath.
Don't like what I have to say? I respect that. Go fuck yourself.
On a personal level, this is so shitty, however the law is the law. We can't be all for FB releasing information to police to investigate murderers and then be upset when they turn over info for people getting abortions illegally.
THIS IS WHY ABORTION SHOULDN'T BE ILLEGAL AT ALL.
It's abortion rights not being protected that pisses me off. Not the fact that Facebook turned over DMs. We don't get to cherry pick which instances where it's okay and not.
Further proof that women have no rights. Zero. Zilch. Nada. We're being killed by Republican Men. The "Prolife" crowd are claiming that they aren't on board with this new development? WELL, FUCK YOU. YOU'RE THE ONES THAT OPENED THAT DOOR FOR IT AND YOU'RE TO BLAME.
