Damn. I have two mutual friends with him. One that works with the homeless and one that's a musician I've worked with. He actually also looks super familiar.
His posts are a mixture of normal Facebook stuff and stuff that perhaps pointed to him having some struggles
Are they lacing meth with fent? I get so sad seeing so many people OD. They have a hot line in West Virginia that you can call when you're doing drugs. If you go silent or they suspect a overdose, they send help to you. I think that more things like that are needed. We will never be able to stop everyone or anyone from doing drugs if they don't want to stop. The least we can do is give them options for a safe way to get high. I know that's probably too liberal and we should jail them all, but I don't see a point. I don't have to do drugs to know that they feel good. Life is hard, and raw dogging life sober doesn't even seem fun to me.
Rest in peace.
I agree with you. My guess is that he wasn't in treatment so was used to doing this stuff (this the post about being alive and well) so got a hold of stuff laced with fent that he wasn't aware of and it did him in.
I was skeptical about legalizing ALL drugs until Fent came along. Honestly, they're going to do it anyway and I'd rather it be regulated so that they know what they're taking. With the tax money you super up the free rehab efforts for those that want to stop. It's a no brainer, but the government wouldn't make bank off of that so it's unlikely.
Fentanyl can be in ANYTHING, that's what is so scary.
After my dad got sent home from having his kidney transplant, he was prescribed some heavy painkillers. When I picked up his scripts, one of the things they gave me, they insisted I take, was Narcan. I think that's a great idea, although that doesn't help people taking stuff they don't have a script for. I feel like everyone should have Narcan....but it won't work if the person uses drugs alone. I wish there was an easy fix, but there isn't.
Fentanyl is actually a very good medication for pain when prescribed/used right. The issue is people started lacing it with everything illegally, which makes people nervous now when they are given it for medicinal purposes. I cannot tell you how many cancer patients the drug has helped throughout the years.
