This seems like an appropriate topic for MDS.
I'm curious what everyone's wishes for their funeral/burial/etc are.

JL, you have to explain your other vote.
Also, no one else wants to talk about this? Come on, you can't get out of it. Eventually it's the reality for all of us.
Maybe that's the problem. Maybe everyone is already dead so the discussion about what they want done with their body is a moot point.
I'm trying to start discussions here people...play along with me! Everyone that wants MDS to stick around needs to bump a few threads, post a few new ones and just converse for a bit.
Easy, Cremation. Scatter my leftovers in the Chicago River.

You can't choose an afterlife. But you can choose what happens to your body after your life.
I've been looking into donating my body to a cadaver farm.
My dad and sister were both buried and nobody in my family, other than me, goes to visit them. All I can think about is how much their caskets, burial, funerals and headstones cost and I don't want that. I'm fine living in people's memories until my fizzle point comes.
Aren't there only a few in the country?

Definitely cremation then spread in different locations that meant something to me in my life. The most important thing isn't a funeral. I don't want people wasting money on that, especially since its such a cash grab industry these days. Instead, a HUGE party with bands that I've played with and friends and family having a blast karaoke, the works. Those are my final wishes.
My aunt was one of those legendary waitresses. You know, the ones who have their "regulars" and the drinks are on the table by the time they sit down, and she knew which of the days specials you'd want, how you liked your steak and what kind of dressing you took on your salad. She'd worked several places over the years. When she passed, one of her regulars (a minister) did the funeral in his church and it was simple and lovely. Then after her funeral everyone was invited to the place she'd most recently worked for a feast. There were dishes from the place she was working and several of the other nearby restaurants and we ate and talked and it was very nice. Lovely sendoff.
Yeah, see? That's the way to do it. Everyone talking and remembering the fun stuff with me and maybe discovering new friends through folks that never met but both knew me in life. Dancing, playing tunes that I would love playing, musicians all meeting each other. Just a silly and fun time where new friendships and possibly even bands can form. I dabble in a lot so you'd have animal people, pokemon people, music people, death haggy people etc all under one roof. It would be epic
Definitely cremation and then my friends and family get tattoos with my ashes mixed in. Then I get to go on all their adventures with them!
Organs donated then I don?t care after that
When I die I'm gonna personally blend my ashes into one of those Burger King's impossible whopper burger patties.
