Hello all,
I am not sure if anyone comes to this page anymore, but I just wanted to make an update just in case. I know it will be two years in one month and it is still just as hard as one year. The more time goes by, the more real it gets so I have to remind myself each morning to get up and put one foot in front of the other. The only way to get through each day is to know that I am doing something to make Mindy proud and continue to tell her story. I have decided to start the Mindy Elizabeth Guidry Memorial Fund. I have really been working on it non-stop for the last few months. I am now ready to reveal the details. Please go to the website:

You will find all of the details about the event that I am holding this year to raise money for a memorial scholarship. In the future I will continue to raise money for cancer research.

i didnt know Mindy, but i read her article, and checked out her memorial sites.  She was simply beautiful, inside and out.

I am running in the San Francisco Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Sunday, September 26th.

I've posted a donation link to the MDS Facebook page in case anyone wants to donate. I've set a goal of $1,000,000. 


I almost want to make it interesting and say that I will personally pay back each dollar to those that make donations if I don't break the 30 minute mark, but that could be tricky since I haven't run in years.  :lol:
