Elizabeth Barraza, 29, was shot multiple times at point-blank range, while standing in the driveway of her home in the 8600 block of Cedar Walk Drive around 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 25.

Surveillance video captures the moment someone walked up to Barraza as she was setting up for a garage sale and shot her four times.

The shooter then turns and runs off to a black truck and drives away.

Anyone else think the shooter in the video looks/walks like a woman, or a man dressed as a woman? And when the suspect approaches the victim, she jumps back as if startled or surprised to see.... what? Someone she knows? Someone she knows in disguise? A man dressed as a woman? Or was that when she saw the gun?

It looks like a woman to me. I wonder how long they had been married (too lazy to go look right now) and if this could have been an old GF, or if he could have been having an affair and this was the mistress?

They'd been married for five years, the garage sale was to raise money for their fifth anniversary trip.

I suspect the husband because it's usually the husband. I'm researching missing persons cases, and it's crazy how many women are reported missing by their husbands who claim their wife went for a walk to clear their head after an argument and never came back.

Yeah, the husband is somehow involved either by relation to who did it or involved in it directly. I'm thinking he might have been having an affair. It's too convenient that he had just left the house moments before it happened.

I think it looks like a woman as well. I used to think the husband had some involvement but looking at his fb he seems to have really loved her and keeps her murder in the spotlight. Of course that doesn?t mean he?s innocent but I just don?t get a murder vibe from him.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that detectives are still actively investigating the 2019 murder of Liz Barraza.

“One thing I can say that we’re looking at is who else—who else would benefit?” said Sgt. Richie. “We all know we’ve investigated Sergio, the husband, and again, he’s been nothing but compliant. We have found nothing that would say he was involved.”

Authorities have also examined financial motives, including a life insurance policy that remains unpaid.

“If it’s not her husband, we all know there was life insurance involved, which is still not being paid. Sergio has not asked for that,” Richie explained. “So, what I’m trying to look at is who else maybe would have benefited from her death. And that’s another avenue I’m trying to explore.”
