It's so much easier when they are little, you can buy them cheap stuff and they think it's the greatest.

My youngest just turned 20 and one of the gifts he asked for were ear buds that cost $250. I was like, uhhhh you know I'm not rich, right? Or stupid, I am not paying that much for something tiny that you will lose.

I got some for $21. Then I got a thing from the seller in the mail that if I leave a good review, I can get a $20 amazon gift card. Which I got, so I only paid $1. Boom!

Has anyone had to buy a gift card for someone and come across those fucking dumb ass racks/holders for said gift cards and struggled to get them out without ripping them?

Me, two men and a woman were trying to tetris the top of the card out of this crazy small slit, and kept on tearing them. The tear the thing pretty good and it looks like shit, so you have to start over.

I don't know what it is either. Ang, I feel like you make things hard on yourself. Just give them an envelope and toss the gift card in it and be done. They should be happy to get it!

Is it some sort of protection thing to decrease the chances of fraud? I know here, when you purchase a gift card at Target or a similar store, they take the card and do some special thing with at at the service desk before they bring it back to you to purchase.

RBW Its the rack at the store holding the gift cards. It is some type of protection, but it is a pain in the ass.

You have to pull the top of the paper thing holding the gift card through a small little slit to get it off the rack. You have to do it just right or you will rip the card.

Oh, I totally misunderstood Ang. I thought it was something you were putting them in to give to the people.

Its all good. I felt so stupid for not being able to do it, until I saw others struggling.

Despite the fact that I am obsessed with lip balm and use it constantly I have developed the worst chapped lips I have ever had. My lips are very full naturally and they feel Kardashian full and swollen now. I cannot get rip of my chapped lips and it's driving me nuts. I checked my toothpaste to see if it had SLS in it (read that can cause dryness) and it doesn't have it. I have used carmex, chapstick and vaseline. Any suggestions?

OMG you have to try Burt's Bees Ultra Conditioning. I am obsessed and it will change your life! My lips are always ending up dry, I have one in my purse, one at work on my desk, one by my nightstand...lol.

I put calmoseptine on my lips last night and it seemed to help. It's almost like a diaper rash type ointment, but it was recommended to me. I think it may have helped. I will look into the Burt's Bees ointment. I have some face cream from them that I really like.

RBW do you drink enough fluids? That can cause chapped lips.

I currently have a rash on the side of my lip from dryness. Its expensive, but I use Sugar brand lip. Jack Black lip balm also works really well too.

Sometimes you have to buy professional stuff the pros use.

I also like first aid beauty. I have been using the lotion on my rash and its the only thing thats working.

Also use less lip balm. There is a thing called rebound dryness. Your lips get more dry after using it a lot.

I've been addicted to lip balm since I was about 12, so there's no way I can use less lip balm unfortunately. I've never had any issue though in 38 years of using it. I think it's because we finally turned 'cold' here and with my new TMJ night guard I sleep with my mouth slightly open and it's drying out my lips with the cold weather and breathing through my mouth at night. I slather on lip balm before bed, but apparently I wipe it off or it gets absorbed during the night.
