This has me wondering if they didn't bother to do a proper search on/around the property where she lived (at the time she went missing) or if she was killed somewhere else and recently moved and buried here to confuse LE. I am guessing it is the former, but either way disturbing.

A Jay man who recently finished serving a prison sentence in Alabama has been transferred to Santa Rosa County to face a murder charge in the 2017 death of his half-sister.
Jerry Phillips Jr., 29, has been charged with first-degree premeditated murder in the death of Felecia Ann Kuswandy in November 2017. He was booked Friday into the Santa Rosa County Jail without bond.
