Richmond Police say they now suspect foul play in the disappearance of Keeshae Jacobs, who was last seen 14 months ago.

The 22-year-old was last seen in Chimborazo Park on September 26, 2016.

Keeshae vanished without a trace after visiting a home in Church Hill last fall. The young Richmond woman told a family member she would see them the next day. When she did not return to her residence in the Westover neighborhood they immediately contacted police.

Since then, detectives have canvassed that area, passed out fliers, and conducted searches of a home, but still no Keeshae.

?Keeshae?s family understands the scope and magnitude of this investigation,? said Major Crimes Det. William Thompson. ?This is not a young lady that just decided to run away or move to another state, it is not her character to not call her family or friends in 14 months when she would reach out to them every day.?

Police say they are renewing their call for information to locate Keeshae.

?Detectives have worked diligently in an effort to locate and find Miss Jacobs,? said Det. Thompson. ?We hope that publicizing our belief that she was met with foul play might prompt others to come forward with information that will help solve this case.?

Jacobs is described as a black female, 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 100 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She has tattoos on her right foot, right leg and right hand of a leaf, paws and a flower, respectively.

Anyone who has knowledge or information concerning the disappearance of Ms. Jacobs or has information on her whereabouts is asked to call Major Crimes Detective William Thompson at (804) 646-3925 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.

That's good that HBO is starting a series like this. Although, it would be nice if it included Indigenous people and other minorities. There's SO MANY missing indigenous people and nobody bats an eye. It's crazy.

Richmond Police Chief Rick Edwards delivered a significant update on the case Thursday, revealing that Otis Tucker, a man already serving a life sentence in Florida for another murder, admitted to disposing of Jacobs’ body.

Tucker, however, did not admit to killing Jacobs.

Tucker, who is currently serving a life sentence for the 2022 murder of Ashley Fowler in Florida, disclosed his involvement with Jacobs during a recent police investigation.
Chief Edwards highlighted the painstaking efforts made by investigators, including a trip to Jacksonville, Florida, to interview Tucker.

Edwards said the breakthrough in the case came with the assistance of Tucker’s father, who traveled with police to Florida and played a crucial role in persuading his son to come forward with the truth.

Wow, a parent actually didn't try to hide their kid's crime. Shocking.

Good for Dad for encouraging his son to come forward; it couldn't have been easy.
You are talking to a woman who has laughed in the face of death, sneered at doom and chuckled at catastrophe.
