Fort Smith Police are searching for a 21-year-old man who has been missing since Wednesday (Oct. 12).

Kanen Michael Harrison, of Fort Smith, was reported missing by his grandfather on Wednesday, after he was last seen leaving his home in the 3000 block of Memphis Street, according to a department press release.

Police said Harrison may have suicidal tendencies, and according to his most recent post, he was near the Arkansas River off Riverlyn Drive.

Anyone with information about Harrison is urged to contact the Fort Smith Police Department at 479-709-5100.

Harrison disappeared from Fort Smith, Arkansas on October 12, 2016. In June 2022, his remains were found by tree trimmers in a wooded area in the 2900 block of Cliff Drive. A wallet and a gun were found nearby. No further information is available.
