Sheriff Lavender reports that 08/28/2017 38-year-old Jeremy Ault of Lakewood Drive in Ross County was arrested by the Chillicothe Police Department and charged with Inducing Panic.
The arrest was a result of an investigation by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office and Chillicothe Police Department that started on August 24, 2017 after the Chillicothe Police Department received a FaceBook message from an account that said they had information that the body of Wanda Lemmons had been dumped in Ross lake in Eastern Ross County.
Multiple agencies went to Ross Lake on 08/25/2017 and 08/26/2017 and searched the lake and surrounding area. Nothing was found.
Early this morning investigators were able to obtain search warrants that lead them to Mr. Ault. Investigators made contact with Mr. Ault at his home and he gave a full confession.
This investigation is ongoing and further Felony charges will be filed by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office at the completion of the investigation.
Sheriff Lavender and Police Chief Washburn want to express their appreciation to the numerous groups and organizations that assisted during this investigation.
