BELLE FOURCHE — A woman arrested in February on charges of possession of child pornography and solicitation of a minor
was arrested again Tuesday on witness tampering charges for allegedly threatening the juvenile victim of the original offense.
Caitlin Rosales, 19, was arrested Feb. 18
after she reportedly encouraged the 15-year-old female to send nude photographs of herself to and engage in sexual acts with Caitlin’s 42-year-old father, Jeremy Rosales.
During interviews with police officers
both Jeremy and Caitlin allegedly admitted to the crimes, according to court documents. They were arrested and later released on bond.
The witness tampering charge a Class 4 felony, punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment in the state penitentiary and a fine of up to $20,000, was filed after Caitlin allegedly threatened the juvenile. Possession of child pornography and solicitation of a minor are also Class 4 felonies.
One of Caitlin’s original bond conditions stipulated she was not to have contact with the victim.
As a result of these most recent charges, the Butte County States Attorney’s office on Wednesday filed a motion to revoke Caitlin’s conditional release.
The pair is scheduled for arraignment on March 24 at the Butte County Courthouse in Belle Fourche.
