Rip Harlette ....... I admire her courage and genuine sweetness as evidenced by her posts.

Bella - yes, she very much put others before herself. Even when she needed to talk, if she saw others needed to talk too she put her needs aside and comforted them. She also cared and worried about her father quite a bit, putting him above herself as well.
It was more than clear she didn't want to be a victim or cancer patient inanyone's eyes. And she wasn't. She was strong and courageous. She was one of the good ones.
Yes. She and I talked some. Shared war stories. When she disappeared I hoped it was because she'd got on with her life, but I was afraid that someday we'd hear she hadn't made it. I'm shocked that her end came so soon after we last saw her here. From what she said the prognosis was months or even years, not days.
When I first started this forum, she was one that was really nice to me. She was definitely a sweetie.

Rest in peace Harlette. Didn't know you well but read many of your posts. Prayers to her family and friends.
Rest Easy Harlette. :(
Lurker checking in.
RIP Harlette
mT had tried reaching out to her family. I know her dad was sick, or having problems in that he needed caring for. Even with her own health needs she put others first. It was her way. She didn't want to upset things. That's what I took away from her. She was so great. Always good for joking around with, but I'm private she had a wonderful tender side that was so beautiful.
This was the info from when she inquired about purchasing a Premium Membership for uncomfortably numb on 12/13/13.

She also sent me her credit card information, but I didn't respond until 12/30/13 and never heard back from her.

Thank you very much Mike. Would you mind adding her real name to this topic? Ani & I were discussing last night that it feels wrong that she doesn't have a name here.
Wow - you all are amazing to have this lovely tribute for her. I think many times we are accused of being heartless and deathmongers; however, this thread proves otherwise.
RIP Patricia. I didn't know you, but from what my friends are saying here, you were awesome.
I sent two cards to her home address. Neither were returned so I don't know if her family got them or not. I called the funeral home and asked them to pass on my info to the family. Never heard anything back. I sent a card to the funeral home. Didn't hear anything back. I had sent a couple emails to her and didn't hear anything back. That's when I googled her and found she may have died. I was reluctant to post her real identity because I wasn't 100% sure it was her, but I'm sure it is after all this time.
She was such a sweet, sweet lady. I was thinking of her the other day and smiling at some of the things she has posted or said in conversation.
RIP Harlette
