Has anyone ever seen Talhotblond? I am a netflix hoe. I cancelled cable after the 10th Comcast person came and the cable stopped working. I've seen almost all of the ones people have recommended. I will go through my list and see if I can add any that aren't posted.

GMO OMG for any earthy crunchy people here. The docu was somewhat annoying.. but it was eye opening as well. I will be honest that I eat for convenience, not for health, but the fact that big companies just started changing up our food and feeding it to us without any warning is kind of crazy
I watched one on Factory Records last night. Crazy crazy shit. New Order had one of the top selling records in the 1980's with Blue Monday, but they lost money on every album sold because of the sleeve the record was in. Then Factory opened the Hacienda and was losing up to 50k a month. The band members of New Order were having to work in the club as security and maintenance to make money. That's just wild. How do you go on that long and not realize how fucked over you are?

I saw that someone had "Serving Life" on their list of "things to watch". That movie tugged at every heart string possible.
The Imposter is a really good docu that left me dumbfounded, about a missing child that returns to his family years and years later.
Twenty Feet From Stardom and The Stories We Tell were both great documentaries that are very different in topic but I saw both at this cute little indie movie theater around the same time.
The story of my life, if anyone is interested, is the movie Smashed. Not a docu, just a good movie.
Has anyone watched Frontline: A Death in St. Augustine? It was good, but it made my blood boil. It's new on Netflix.
Not yet, R, but I'm always looking for new documentaries. I'll check it out.
If you feel like watching a non conspiracy theory documentary about 9/11, "Out Of The Clear Blue Sky" is on Netflix. It's pretty good! Cantor Fitzgerald lost 658 employees that day, 1/4th of the total lives lost. The documentary recounts what happened that day from their perspective and what happened in the days/weeks/months/years following.

The 'Advanced Style' documentary on Netflix was worth watching, especially if you're familiar with the blog.
i watched this the other night and i loved it.
I Am Divine was pretty good, if a little long. It was especially fun to see all the actors/freaks from John Waters' crew. I give it a B. :)
Bridgend was craaaazy! There has to be something strange going on in that town. Did you hear the part where the mom and son (Justin with the tattoos) were talking about his grandma, who thinks she can speak to the dead, telling Justin his friend was going to come to him in a dream and try to get him to come with him by doing the same thing? So creepy!
That whole thing depressed me. Especially when Justin ended up doing it, too.
And the dad! Omg whyyyy?

The Dark Matter of Love was really nice--got me right in the feels. It's also refreshing to watch a documentary with a positive ending.
The husband and I watched The United States of Secrets. Part 1 and 2. It's on Netflix.

Frontline did it. It's about the gov spying on us and how they got busted. They don't hold any punches with either Bush or Obama. It also explains a lot of the NSA and how it all works.
I never knew that much about Edward Snowden expect some basic stuff, but this explains a lot.
On Netflix, there is a show called "the killer speaks"
I think there are 6 episodes.
Basically, it's a doc about murder, but the killer has agreed to tell the story.
It's chilling. Especially the first episode with killer, Levi king.

How did no one mention Cropsey!!?? lol There is also a really good one from the same 2 people called Killer Legends. It talks about urban legends we hear while growing up, like the hook handed killer, poisoned candy on halloween, why clowns are so fucked up lol. I highly recommend both

Can anyone recommend some nature documentaries? The majority mentioned here seem to be about humans and life stories. I enjoy watching the survival of different species, but some nature docs can be boring as sh!t.
