Hey noob! Posts need approval?

Some of you join and find that your posts don't immediately show up. Sometimes, your initial posts require approval.

Can you post in this thread if that's the case? I promise we'll try and get to them quickly.

apologies in advance if this is not the correct place to address this. i've posted a couple of replies that included links to google maps street view (or image captures from street view) in article threads. for some reason, none of my replies appear. i browsed around FAQs looking for anything stating limitations on what newer members can vs. can't include in their posts. it seems maybe i'm trying to do something i don't have permission to do yet? if so, can someone direct me to where this is explained? i'd like to be more active in the community, but if i can only respond with text (no links, no photos, etc.), then i'd like to know why so i can stop wasting my time. thank you.

Welcome! I think you have to have 10 posts before links will show up. At least that is what it was some time ago. Hope this helps

It's not the links. It's because your posts need to be viewed and approved by an admin at first. Because it's a holiday weekend, it may slow the process down a bit. It's only to make sure you're a real person and not some spambot. Sorry if it's a pain. No worries, just hang tough and after ten or so posts you'll be posting in real time.

thanks for the responses. yeah, i tried posting something about Jennifer Wolfe crashing into the pond in this article thread soon after it was posted. my reply with google map street view images didn't post:

It usually takes over 10 posts before it starts acting normal. Just keep posting and it will start to work normally.

I'm a noob (hate that word... too similar to boob,( which I have, but am not ), and I can't seem to search anything or see anything other than forums. I was searching for a particular person. Says I don't have access, but I am signed in. Do I have to be premium to search for specifics?

Are you posting links or images? It usually needs approval for those.

Until your able to post links, you could always just message an active member and I am sure they'd have no problem posting it for you.
