I don't do facebook at all. When I first found MDS I read all posts about they used to take all the info from MDS posters and repost on their fb page with no credit or link back to MDS and they started blocking MDS members so I say "fuck them".

I don't normally go there, I was searching at the time for something I can't remember now lol and they came up as one of the google results. I know they take from just about anyway, including MDS. It's turned into a telephone game and bitch fest over there, they don't care to verify anything, just feed rumor mills.

I recall her stating in beginning testibalony that she has two children. pretty sure her partner is one of the cheerleaders in the gigglebox or maybe her co-author who is in her 80s (I think, my sleuthing is not as good as yours). Talk about outdated material for a book.

I'm going to research that more but her mother's name IS Alyce. I think you have the right person. It looks like maybe Alyce (the daughter) went to Long Beach Cal to finish her BA degree and stayed in Cal (got married) She still lives and has offices in Long Beach.

I have to conclude that her marriage must have ended badly somehow. Her husband was re-married within 5 months of their divorce in 1980. The 2 children seem to have lived with the father in Nor Cal. I don't know all the facts but it does appear she had a Meredith Baxter-Birney-esque awakening late in life.

I am pretty sure her life partner (Gail) is also her business partner, (not the co-author though) they have the same residence address and same business address. Her partner is also a Family Therapist. I've seen photos of Gail and she does look like one of Alyce's posse in the gallery (not as sure of this)
