I understand that sense of sadness.....and I'm sure you are not alone. There were many innocent bystanders who suffered because of her crime. Her family did not commit this crime, and no matter how we may feel about their behavior during court proceedings, they were innocents in her mess, too. *hug*

It seems clear the jury will put her to death. The prosecution clearly won the case, which they needed to do, to justify the expense to the taxpayers. The evidence was outstanding, and the substance of Martinez's arguments was mostly effective. I still find fault with his style, delivery, lack of focus, and some critical oversights. Credit the jury for looking past style and these shortcomings, and sticking to the evidence to get it right.

The jury probably disregarded the entire defense testimony as a whole because it was built on Jodi's lies. That leaves the crime scene photos, autopsy results, the hard evidence of her planning. The objective stuff that we can't dispute. I think there can be some doubts about her plans but to the jury those doubts were not reasonable.

All the popular kids are doing it!

I still think that this case was a slam dunk for any moderately competent prosector, but Juan at times verged dangerously close to losing the plot (much to my entertainment). If Jodi had not lied so much, had not changed her story so much, had gotten an attorney right after her arrest, had argued for heat of passion, had been more likeable, Martinez would have had much less margin for error. Fortunately for us he the jury gave him a pass on his mistakes and shit personality.

It will never, ever bring Travis back, but I can only imagine how that exoneration must feel! Some people, families and friends will never get to feel that! I am one of them!

My Father was put in a Catholic orphanage at the age of 4 and was severely abused by the Nuns there for 11 years.

His Mother died and he was loaded onto a train with his 2yr old sister and told he was going to the seaside. Instead he arrived at a place called Smyllum Orphanage in Lanark, Scotland, run by The Sisters of Mercy. Sisters of 'NO' Mercy, as he liked to call them! He was separated from his sister and put in a dormitory with 200 other boys. He wet the bed that night. The nuns dragged him from his wet bed, filled a bathtub full of cold water, and held his head under the water, as punishment! 11 years of that!

I have no doubt this terrible experience put him in an early grave! On the day I found him dead, jammed between the toilet and the bathtub in his home, he was involved in a court case against the Catholic Church, to hold them responsible for the terrible abuse they inflicted upon these children. Seven days later, he was due to appear in The Scottish Parliament for 'In Care Abuse Survivors' case to be heard. I went in his place, holding a picture of him at age 4, and his sister at age 2 (who also died suddenly and young), only to be told he would no longer be considered for compensation because he was deceased, and that they would only consider cases that happened after 1960!

I know it's not the same but they killed him, and like many, many others, I will never have justice!

I'm probably sharing too much, but I'm so emotional!

I'm grateful to this Jury and the system for doing all it could do for the Alexander family! It must feel good and terribly empty at the same time! It will never bring Travis back!

Alexander family's attorney just said they are suing NOT for the money, they are suing so Jodi can't profit.

Also, Beth is saying that dr, horn may testify....or another medical doctor.

And lest we forget, today is also a HUGE victory for TRUE victims of domestic violence and PTSD! Take that, ALV and Dr. Samuels! And as for that crooked/broken finger, JA...You can now use it to pick your nose, stick it in your ear, until you're given the needle, or for the rest of your natural life as you rot in prison.

This case will be won on appeals with prosecutorial misconduct and all that. I have a feeling that the mob outside that courthouse every day when the jurors arrived along the hate being spewed every single night on TV is where this verdict came from and not from the evidence. Those folks were afraid that if they didn’t find her guilt of M1, those crazies would hunt them down and do them harm.

This verdict will be overturned. Too much error and judicial/prosecutorial misconduct. And the crowd? Disgusting. Our civilization is in big trouble.

She has to keep bringing her personal life up on TV. I think that is so wrong. She is supposed to be reporting about a case, not herself.

Last night she was talking about an acquittal! She is not taking her meds!

Hell, she and Travis dated for 5 months; she and Darryl were together 4 YEARS, and they lived together and discussed marriage at one point. Yet, Jodi was able to walk away from Darryl with no problem at all. She and Travis were not married, they were FWB, he owed her nothing and promised her nothing. It was simply all about her and what Jodi thought other people -- particularly men -- owed her. She used each guy until she used them up, or until she could upgrade to a better opportunity.

No sympathy for Jodi at all. She knew what she did was wrong, she took perverse pleasure in punishing him, then she lied and dragged him through the mud. She earned Murder 1.
I agree completely. I usually feel empathy or sympathy but I can not feel.any sorrow for her. I think we can all understand a true crime of passion but that is not what this was. This was a savage execution and then during her trial she went after his good name just as savagely. You reap what you sow.
