Last night's citizen academy lesson was from the Major Crimes and Property Crimes Detectives. It was pretty cool, though I really wanted to hear more from the Major crimes guys versus the property crimes guys. They talked about the Muckleshoot Casino shooting that happened her in 2011 because it had been adjudicated but ran out of time before being able to show us the video which was a real bummer. 7 people shot, one at point blank range, no one died. The guy happened to choose the one night at all of the detectives were in the casino doing another department related matter so they were on the scene already.

I thought the whole point of an online forum was to get people to talk. If I owned this site I would be tickled pink at all the traffic Jodi has brought to it. Not to mention all the premium accounts purchased.

I think it's better the Morgan thread was only locked and not completely banished to never-never land. The Morgan thread doesn't bother me anymore than all the other threads I have no real interests in. If I don't like a thread, I just don't go in it. I don't understand all the complaining.

I also have an interest in true crime in general, not just one case. I was encouraged heavily to explore and did so I got a feel for the board. I think a great deal of the Morgan thread posters did. So, while it's a great thread with lots of fun to chat about - I'm not a certain we're invested in it and if we want to gab about Toni's insanity we can PM each other. I think we'll all miss Venus2B's recaps because those were pretty freakin funny, but overall - nahh.

Yes this. As crazy as it's become (and it is a complete shitshow), this is one of the biggest trials of the decade with some really great gems of posts/photos/etc. The farthest I got into the Morgan was the first post, I don't see how it became HUGE? It was a just a random girl who died of a drug overdose and her mom was nutzo, right? Big whoop. Lock that sucka.

The Morgan thread is locked because huge threads bog the site down, and a lot of the people it's attracting are fucking loooons who don't improve anything. And there's nothing to discuss there. It's just a giant circle. There are a gazillion more interesting cases on here. That thread is just people bonding over malicious loathing for a crazy person.

I think it became huge because the thread had a level of camaraderie among the posters and it was quite a bit like it's own chit-chat thread a good bit of the time, though with Toni/Morgan themed topics and inside jokes. Additionally there was the fact that it kept getting fed with new information almost daily, so it was almost like when a case goes to trial (just like when the Jodi trial blew up I guess?) ad new stuff happened. That's just my take on it. Everyone knows Morgan wasn't murdered, I'd say 99% of the posters know she wasn't stalked, and that those being accused aren't involved. It's the chaos of it all that keeps the conversation going.

Yeah, I don't either, and I don't understand how the Morgan thread is somehow worse than the Jodi thread. That's been circular, same thing being posted over and over, for ages. But whatever- life goes on.

Though I have a feeling that Toni will somehow try to take credit for the thread being shut down, or make a big deal about how all those "negative" people who are trying to stop her from getting justice have finally been silenced or something like that.

Well, me and somebody else said that Jodi's attorney did a very good job arguing for evidence to be allowed in this morning. AND I still believe the attorney did a very good job. She spoke well, and she spoke with passion.

Doesn't matter if I am for or against somebody-I still like to see somebody get a fair trial.....and I love to see a good fight between lawyers.
