You know, I have the same deal with them too. The spiders are supposed to stay in their designated terraniums/villages I have created for them. When they get loose I do sternly warn them, and their entire living time share do not get to join me for dinner that week. Generally I'll bring one environment to dinner, and talk to them while I eat dinner, and they may have some fresh crickets while we talk about their day. Setting parameters is very important when building a spider city, and generally they do learn.

They are indeed human and deserve to have dignity. I used to also collect those speedy centipedes, but I found out they ate all the spiders. So I had to give that collection to Tim Myers. He wasn't as serious a entomologist as I and eventually he got creeped out so he gave up on breeding. Tim's wife (Madeline) was mad at them also because they are actually poisonous to birds(which they had)

Prior to that she was mentioning people from MDS on her blog. She has since removed that blog and supposedly made her current blog private. Lana Kane makes her first post appearance on page 276 and hilarity ensues.
Prior to page 269 there was mention of Marcie Wogan because she was lurking MDS and putting a bunch of crap on her blog. So, we discussed her and some people copy pasta'd some of the things she had on her blog.
I'm re-reading it now and cracking up. She came back after her first banning and flipped out again. That was just a week or so ago. I will try to find it, but I have to finish re-reading her first flip out.
