I am now house-guest free! It actually went much better than I anticipated, but it was rather interesting to have someone you haven't seen in 30 years come and stay with you.

Houseguests are fine but there's a lot to be said for that relief when they leave.

Glad it went well. How long were they there again? I am okay having visitors, but only for about two days and then they need to leave. We strategically purchase mattresses for our guest bedroom that are not overly comfortable, as to not encourage them to stay longer. We learned that trick after we lived on the beach and had tons of people come to visit and they simply never wanted to leave.

I don't have a bed in my extra room so no one can even ask to stay. Ha.

    That's great!

The houseguest was here almost 2 weeks. I had only met him a couple of times, while we lived in England. He and my husband were best friends as teenagers, and had a band. I didn't really like him when I met him in England, lol. We've all grown up some since then, and I've decided there are more important things than being upset over stupid things some dumb guy says.

We went out and showed him Florida: manatees, rocket launches, beach, jetskis, NASA, gators, etc. They managed to flip a jetski, but everyone (including the jetski) was ok.

It's so nice to just have us and the dogs in the house now and be able to do what we want!

We do but it's covered in the dregs of Christmas. Things I'm not keeping but I'm too lazy to box up for the garage sale.

    I love Rudy!!!

BWS the idea of having uncomfortable mattresses is genius!

RBW I feel this so hard. After having just emptied our house of all the extended family, I am still recovering. Although we just found out the foster baby will be returning to bio parents at the end of this month so we are grateful to have spent some extra time with her. Also, I so appreciated the rocket launch you shared with us when we visited Florida. It was so awesome!

You can't come to Central Florida and not view a rocket launch.

I hope the home environment for the foster baby is good. So many times we see foster children returned to their biological families and then something horrible happens.

Lots of UID's getting their names back in 2025. I haven't even been able to keep up with al of them, but I am super happy for their families getting closure. I wonder if funding for that will be on the chopping block, I'm sure it will. The good thing is that a large portion of it is funded by donations.

It is wonderful how many of them are being identified. Of course funding will be cut, but at least there is private donations.

I never thought the woman that missed her child's birthday would be found.

We had our family from England in town, so we just watched the first 10 minutes, which was enough to tell me that Eagles (who I love) would win the game.

same! but I didn't watch any of it. I was hoping for a new match up this year and felt like that one was a rerun. Rudy and I watched a documentary about conjoined twins instead.

Yes! Kendrick Lamar is awesome. I think the whole time I was watching I was like "how is he not out of breath?" lol. I had to re-watch it a few times because it goes so fast you miss stuff. I totally missed that he had Serena Williams dancing, I didn't know that until I read it on facebook.
