Sadly it looks like you guys called it 100% right. Lajuana Shunta Long, 22 & Jeremy Paul Thornburg, 24, will face trial for the murder of 3mths pregnant Candice Shields, mother of an 18mth old boy. Authorities have as yet released little detail, & as such it was unknown whether a body or murder weapon had been located.

Her case is on a site called victim's heartland that discusses the arrests but also says human remains were recovered from a residential property in Sweetwater. I can't post a link to that forum because it's an incredibly long one & they don't seem to work when I type them manually.

That forum has a post suggesting Lajuana was also pregnant to Thornberg at the time Candice went missing, but that he has since reconciled with his ex-wife who also has a child with him??

Arrest Affidavits Reveal Details of Murder of Candice Shields
Arrest affidavits we've now obtained reveal the details of the night a 20-year-old Graham woman was killed in December of 2011.

Authorities say they believe Jeremy Thornburg killed Candice Shields because she was seeing other men, and their reports say Thornburg found text messages involving other men on Shields' phone that upset him.

Both Thornburg and Lajuana Long are indicted for Shields' murder.

According to arrest affidavits, Thornburg was in a relationship with a woman and in an argument, he told her quote "I'm going to shoot you in the face just like I did Candice."

During the course of that domestic violence investigation, Sweetwater police say they seized a handgun from Thornburg.

The affidavit states Thornburg drove to Graham on the night of Dec. 10, 2011, and on his way, contacted Long and told her he was going there to kill Shields.

It says Thornburg then picked up Shields from her grandparents' home in Graham and drove her to a remote location.

The affidavit states Thornburg shot Shields once in the face but noticed that didn't kill her, so he shot her two more times at close range.

Then authorities allege Thornburg drove to Long's home in Graham where she gave him bottles of bleach to pour over Shields' body to destroy evidence that could link Thornburg to the murder.

Investigators say Long told them she and Thornburg talked about also using battery acid to accelerate the decomposition of Shields' body and told authorities where they'd be able to find Shields' body.

She reportedly told investigators she'd lied about her involvement because Thornburg told her to do so.

Authorities say the handgun Thornburg used to threaten his girlfriend in Sweetwater is the same gun he used to kill Shields.
