How/where do you give karma?

Sometimes I'm stupid....  I can't figure out how to leave karma.  Can someone assist me?

<--- over there.  Click "Applaud" to give karma and "Smite" to well, smite (it takes away a point).

I think you have to have 10 posts before you can karma/smite so they didn't show up before that.
