Driver thrown from vehicle, dies in crash
By ROBIN FITZGERALD - [email protected]
A second person in two days has died after being ejected from a vehicle in a crash in South Mississippi.
Arismo C. Borrello, 47, of Vicksburg, was not wearing a seat belt and died early Thursday after he lost control of his vehicle in Pearl River County, said state Highway Patrol Cpl. Johnny Poulos.
Borrello was driving a 2000 Lincoln Navigator on Mississippi 53.
The Lincoln was northbound when the crash occurred around 1:10 a.m. near Barth Road south of Poplarville.
Poulos said the Lincoln ran off the right side of the highway and Borrello overcorrected.
“He came back on the highway with the vehicle rolling over several times and he was ejected,” Poulos said.
On Wednesday, 17-year-old Chasity Griffin of Vancleave was partially ejected through the driver’s window of a pickup. Griffin was a passenger. The pickup in which she was riding ran a stop sign and was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The pickup flipped and landed on her, according to Biloxi police.
Both drivers were injured in the crash at Lickskillet Road and Mississippi 15.
The driver of the pickup received a ticket for running a stop sign.

It does, doesn't it. I don't see why people don't belt up, its the law here and it makes total sense.
