i'm lucky that i don't have to take the interstate to work, i live less than two miles away.  half my training class didn't make it to work today.  i have no excuse to not be here. 

they did put sand down in my 'hood last night which is awesome.  i live at the top of a hill and this is the first time they've put sand down all winter.

[/quote]I'm an extremely dedicated worker and I think my bosses appreciate it a lot.  They talk to me about other coworkers like I'm more management.  Plus, they generally give me a higher raise(when we get raises) than others that have been here longer.

Good news on the weather is that on Tuesday they're saying it's supposed to be a high of 36.  I better bust out my shorts.

Jealous.  It's in the low 50s and foggy here.  Our heating bill for December was $400 so we decided to freeze in the dark this month.  I woke up and it was 59 inside.  The heat is back on.

We woke up to deer tracks around the house and noticed that they dug around all the gardens and apple trees.  They even seemed to have laid down by the house for ambient heat.  This is the first year that we have ever seen this behavior out here.  I don't understand it because it has actually been a mild winter until the end of December.

There are big chunks of ice sliding off my roof and crashing onto the deck. They are making me go 

Occasionally a ton of little pieces will come showering down from the trees. The trees are looking pretty bare of ice now, though.
