It's a balmy -6 down in my corner of the state.
Standard northern...warm summers, cold winters, frequent snow.
Hot, Hot, hot! And humid (think Florida)
Standard Southern...Hot summers, cool winters, little to no snow
Moderately warm, lots of rain (Pacific Northwest).
Desert...keep it warm with little rain.
Cold. Frozen tundra cold.

It's like EMS workers, or police. When you have a job that's that important, you don't have the luxury of being "off-duty." Even out of uniform, something needs to be done. If I don't do my job, people suffer.

I like how all the coldness today is from some serious wind; but as soon as you get in the car with the windows rolled up, it's all warm because the sun is seriously beaming. Well, I don't actually like the cold, being transplanted here from Florida and all, but I find it kind of fascinating.

Negative 8.3 degrees out as I type this post. Just recovering from the blizzard over the holidays and now I'm looking forward to constant negative temps until Spring. Minnesota winters are great.
