She is probably the most deserving out of all of them, but I can't get past the fact that she's kind of already been paroled since her death penalty was commuted. She used to donate to the horse rescue I worked with.

My backdoor neighbor is a convicted pedophile priest who when released, exposed himself in a parking garage at a nearby mall. I actually like the guy and I don't fear him. I mean, I don't worry about him re-offending towards me. We were neighbors when my kids were very young, so I guess since we lived through the riskiest years being oblivious to his activities, I have no fears of him. He's a tiny old man these days. He had a crazy stalker who accused him of abusing him as a child, but the priest lived a couple thousand miles away when the stalker was young. His stalker broke into his home on a couple of occasions and the last time had a knife and gun with him. I worry more about the pitchfork wielding villagers than I do this old man who spent 15yrs in prison for his crimes.
well, I'm not afraid of pedophiles, I'm not their type.But yeah honestly in this case this was a teenager given crazy psychedelics and preyed on by a predator, almost fifty years ago. I think she's probably had her punishment.

California Gov. Jerry Brown denied parole to former Manson family member Leslie Van Houten, saying that the murder convict "currently poses an unreasonable danger to society."
Earlier this year, the Board of Parole Hearings had recommended her release.
Van Houten and other followers of Charles Manson were convicted for the 1969 murders of supermarket executive Leno LaBianca and his wife, Rosemary.
In 1994, Van Houten described her part in the killings in a prison interview with CNN's Larry King.
"I went in and Mrs. LaBianca was laying on the floor and I stabbed her in the lower back around 16 times," said Van Houten, who was 19 at the time of the murders.
After the killing, Van Houten changed into the victim's clothes and drank chocolate milk from the couple's refrigerator, according to the statement of facts regarding her case. She was the youngest of the Charles Manson followers.
Gov. Brown expressed dismay over Van Houten's actions: "Both her role in these extraordinarily brutal crimes and her inability to explain her willing participation in such horrific violence cannot be overlooked and lead me to believe she remains an unreasonable risk to society if released."
Van Houten, 66, had been described as a model prisoner who worked with other inmates and earned a college degree.

Charles Manson has been taken out of the prison where he will spend the rest of his life ... into a hospital ... TMZ has learned. Manson left California's Corcoran State Prison on Tuesday to get treatment for an undisclosed ailment. We're told he's at a Bakersfield hospital -- about an hour away from the penitentiary. Manson is currently serving 9 life sentences for conspiracy to commit the infamous Manson Family murders in 1969.
Good riddance.

Nope. The fiance only wanted to marry him so that she could take possession of his body after he died and then take it on a US tour for fun and profits. I say why not? He doesn't deserve any kind of respect anyway.
