NETFLIX is the fuckin best!
NETFLIX is the fuckin best!
Hey guys, go to your netflix profile page and change your name to a user name. I'm getting friends like NMF, EVF and MS. I have no idea who these people are.
So the ROKU Box has some interesting new channels and can link to your facebook pictures now....

Is anyone else annoyed that they took away the ability to send notes to friends about movies, and the fact they are slowly eliminating the whole friends thing altogether? :x

Very much so. I hadn't realized they ditched the friends feature until I spent at least 10 minutes searching for the goddamn friends page. I was pissed when I discovered it was no longer there.
They also disabled the Facebook/Netflix link for new users. I had changed all my passwords after they disabled it, so now the movies I rate don't show up in my feed. At least that made up for the removal of the friends thing.. sorta.
Need recommendations for good things to watch on Netflix Instant Cue. Looked but not feeling anything.
i've had netflix for 4 years now. last year we got the roku and i was in total love with it. recently it's been pissing me off because ever since i updated it (so you can search movies from the roku instead of your computer) it always gives me a connection error. but only on netflix. my amazon VOD has never failed me. i guess i'm ok with it because netflix has been crediting my account for the past 2 months for connection issues.
my son has our instant queue set up on his 360, but he hardly ever uses it so i don't know if he ever has connection issues with that or not.
Watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the TV series.

My DH is obsessed with Buffy. He has a Buffy tattoo, every single comic, a print of her on our wall, and all the DVDs :P
Its the best show ever. My dvds are at my house so my bf and I have been watching it on Netflix bc he's never seen it.
What's his tattoo of? Also google the A to Z of awesome and look at the letters B and J in particular. Its well, awesome

The friends list IS still there, It's just so ridiculously hidden.
If you scroll all the way to the very bottom of the page, they have a bunch of small links. On the far Right hand side under "Community" is the link to "friends".
The funny thing is, Netflix says that "nobody uses" the friends feature, and thats why they plan to phase it out... How can they expect people to use something they keep so hidden?!

It's of the logo. I watched the show when we began dating because it was very important to him, but I'm an Anne Rice fan, so I never could get into the Buffy vampire portrayal as much as he is.

I've been watching Bones like crazy.
Primeval, Torchwood, Roswell, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Sanctuary, The Office (seasons 1-4), Dilbert, Ahhhh! Real Monsters: all quality.

I found it! Thanks! But.. all my friends are gone! What the hell Netflix! lol
I LOVE Netflix! It is SOOO convenient and I love all the choices!!
Black Dynamite and Zombieland are on Instant Queue. Both great movies!
I just re-subscribed to Netflix 2 days ago. I love it so much. We're going to get rid of our HBO and Shotime. I'm wondering if Dexter episodes show up a day or two later like Heroes? Because I absolutely have to have Dexter in my life and will have to get Shotime back for that.

Win in bold.
How is Torchwood? I've heard of it in the Livejournal slash scene, but other than that I'm not familiar. Is it worth the time? I'm picky...

[/quote]Torchwood isn't as good as Doctor Who but its still entertaining.
Instant streaming movies/Shows I recommend:
-Penn & Teller's Bullshit (Seasons 4-6 on streaming)
-Jericho (Show got canceled, but it last like 2 seasons and actually wraps up the story, unlike most canceled shows.)
-Californication (Only the first season streams. :x)
-Weeds ( 1-5 seasons streaming)
-Archer (Great 'adult' style animated show)
-Leverage (seasons 1 and 2 on streaming)
-Dead Like Me (Season 1 is streaming... Season 2 might be too.)
-Noise (This one: http://www.netflix.com/WiMovie/Noise/70084319?trkid=438403
-The Sasquatch gang
-Ping Pong Playa
-Interstate 60
-Fawlty Towers (British show from the 70s. Not for everyone, But I found it rather funny.)
Theirs probably other good stuff I am forgetting (along with some already mentioned by other people.).
I just watched Red Mist (Available on Netflix Streaming until 7/15, i think). I expected it to suck, but watched it anyways because it has one of my favorite actors in it... It turned out to be pretty good and kept me entertained.
Is there a way to set up two instant watch queues? I use my dad's netflix account and had a bunch of movies saved that I planned to watch and someone went and deleted them all.

Love Californiacation/Archer/Weeds/Dead Like Me, will try out your other recommendations since you've clearly got good taste

Really loved Dead Like Me. Weeds was okay for awhile but I really hate her character the more the show goes on.

I dont believe so. My husband said he wasn't able to even add instant movies when he's logged in under his name. He can only add instant movies under my name.
Is it possible the missing movies just aren't available as instant anymore? Sometimes movies become unavailable for instant viewing. Otherwise, that sucks that someone deleted your movies!

I don't think you can do it with instant watch queues... Just DVD queues. :|
You could always do what I do when I find movies I want, but my queue is full... Open a word document (or notepad, or whatever) and put the names in it then save it. Then you won't forget the names of them, and you don't have to worry about them mysteriously disappearing.

Yeah, it's kind of a random grab bag of movies/shows. I actually went through my history and looked at what all I rated 4 or 5 stars.
