TURKEY CREEK, Ky. – A 32-year old woman is missing, and authorities are clueless as to her whereabouts, even after an intensive search.

Kentucky State Police Post 9 alerted emergency personnel Nancy Lockard had been reported missing shortly after 1:30 p.m. , Wednesday, according to KSP Trooper Jimmy Nolte, who is heading the investigation. The alert described Lockard as suicidal.

The last person known to have seen Lockard was her boyfriend, Chris Chouin-ard. He said he and Lockard were on the front porch of the home they share in Nosben Fork of Turkey Creek when he went into the house shortly after 11 a.m. Chouinarell said when came back outside, Lockard was gone.

Her mother, Carole Hensley, said she fears for her daughter’s mental stability. Lockard had been despondent since her father’s death last year, Hensley said, and left a message for her sons, who are in Hensley’s care.

“She called and left a message at 1:38,” Hensley said. “She said to tell her boys their mommy loved them.”

In addition to the Turkey Creek, Big Creek, Belfry and Upper Pond Creek Volunteer Fire departments, Pike County Emer-gency Services Director Doug Tackett, the state police and the Pike County Sheriff’s Department, along with local volunteers used all terrain vehicles to search the hills surrounding Lockard’s home as well as the rest of the Turkey Creek area. Specially trained dogs were brought in from Lexington, but could not find Lockard’s trail. Trooper Nolte said the case has been entered into the National Crime Inform-ation Center database, but foul play is not suspected at this time.

Tackett said authorities feel certain Lockard is not in the immediate area, and may have left on her own accord.

“She is an adult and there is no law that says she can’t go where she wants to without telling anyone,” he said. He added that cell phone records show the last call made by Lockard was at approximately 1 p.m.

Nolte asked that anyone who sees or hears from Lockard contact the Kentucky State Police at 1 (606) 433-7711.

It might just be the lighting, but it looks like she has two black eyes in those photos as well.  I wonder if there is any police record of domestic violence between the couple?  If that is the case, we might be looking at something more sinister than a woman who decided to run off and kill herself/disappear.  Violence always escalates. 

I hope she is okay somewhere... :-(

there's a homeless lady here where i live who has dark circles around her eyes like that.  i just assumed she had the same thing.  i dunno!

the last login on nancy's myspace is May 14, 2009.  which makes me wonder if they had relationship problems before she disappeared, since the thread title says she went missing on June 24, 2009.....so the album must have been named at some point BEFORE May 14th.

Family members of missing woman are begging for answers

Five months after a mother disappears without a trace, her family is begging for answers.

33 year old Nancy Ann Lockard was last seen in Pike County in June and no one has seen or heard from her since.

Nancy Lockard has two young sons and her family says she would not leave them.

Police say they have searched the entire neighborhood and hills behind her home and not found any trace of her.

Both investigators and her family are asking for help.

Carole Hensley has not seen her daughter in more than five months, “It's hard. You don't know what to think one way or the other,” Hensley said.

She says her daughter, 33 year old Nancy Ann Lockard, was last seen on June 24th at her dad's house in the Turkey Creek area of Pike County. The family says the mother of two vanished.

She says the boys ages seven and eleven, are suffering.

“It's her boys that everyone needs to be concerned about right now because they don't understand what's going on,” Hensley said.

“It causes concern that it's been so long since she contacted the family,” Trooper Mike Goble said.

Police are investigating this as a missing person case. They say Lockard's boyfriend was the last to see her. Investigators say her boyfriend told them they were arguing and she was upset, then she left and never came back.

“There has been an extensive search. The information we received is she was supposed to have gone in the hills around the residence there, and we were unable to find anything,” Trooper Goble said.

Search dogs also found no trace of her in the area.

“We just want to know where she is. We love her, we miss her. we want her home,” Hensley said.

She and police ask anyone with information to please call them so they can find her.

i'm curious to know who you are and why you feel that it's ok to trash my brothers name all over the internet, if you have proof of nothing then say nothing....

HOLY CRAP!!! It sure looks like he has done something to her!  All the classic signs from past abuse, so called arguing prior to "Well Officer she just left then" nonsense he is saying and now the on-to-the-next girl attitude.  If the police dogs didn't pick up a trail from her walking off then most likely she didn't.  I hope they are quietly building up their case on him.

They need to find this guy, and start working on a confession. Or start talking to family members immediately. I feel like they haven't pushed as hard as they can...
