So, my boyfriend has decided to buy me an Xbox. 

What games do you guys have for it? Any RPGs that are good?
Chris, I see you mentioned Fable, how is it? It looks right up my street.
Have they dropped in price yet in the US, someone told me they were going to and that I might wanna wait a couple pf weeks to buy one, when the price will have dropped here. But I want it today!  :lol:

It's going to go in the bedroom, which isn't near my internet connection, so I'll need a Wi-Fi adapter. Have any of you got one and are they any good at keeping connected? Any recommendations?
I have a router from which we run PS3, Wii and Laptop in the office which is next door to the bedroom that it'll be in.

I can't wait!

I'll be getting online with it as soon as I get a long enough cable, one day this week. It's only got to go from one room to the next. I was going to get a wireless adapter, but the cable will do for now. It'll go under the carpet.

We have GTA4 and Call Of Duty for the PS3, so there's no point in me getting them for the xbox.

I don't think they are planning on cutting the prices in the UK yet.  My buddy has a wireless adapter for his and it connects just fine with the router on the second floor and the 360 on the first, but if it's possible I'd go for a hard connection.

My friend has Bioshock and LOVES it.

I'm not bothered about the price being cut now, as I just bought my xbox on Sunday. I love it though.

[/quote]I beat Fable in about 8-9 hours.  It was a very fun game, but I don't think I got the most out of it.  I just got married just as I was about to face the last guy.  It was also pretty easy.  I didn't die once.  Maybe I should play it again and be evil.  My friend says I can decimate an entire village if I want to. 

I'm hoping Fable 2 will be a bit longer, plus playing co-op is gonna be pretty sweet.

Oh and I don't think I can describe Braid properly so here's the Wiki.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Braid_(video_game)  The art direction is incredible in the game and it's soundtrack is very nice too.

We actually have all 3 of those consoles.  :lol:
K is on PS3 everyday, he loves it. But he IS a Sony fanboy. I've got the XBox upstairs in the bedroom. We hardly ever use the Wii to be honest but it's good for when we have barbecues/parties cause evetyone can play. We also have Rock Band for PS3 so we have plenty to do when people come round.  :2smiley:

I actually quite like the way the Xbox looks, and it's really easy to navigate I find it hard to do that sometimes on the PS3.
I dunno hun, it's your call. I think there are far better games for the XBox, and over here they're always cheaper than PS3 games.

If you want a blu-ray player, get the PS3; otherwise, any real gamer would tell you to get an X-box 360. There's no comparing the variety of games and the big selection. PS3 is lacking in that. X-box has the Marketplace and a great online gaming system (Xbox Live). Plus, the games that are exclusive to the 360 are amazing. PS3 has it's exclusives, but a lot of stuff, like Final Fantasy, is launching to multiple platforms because they can't afford to have it on just the one system anymore.

Wii is more family oriented games and a lot of goofy shit. It's a lot of fun and it does have games that will appeal to any gamer.

I say get a 360. The prices are dropping for the system right now, as a matter of fact and it really is the best.

[/quote]Bioshock(though it's going to PS3 over a year after I beat it), Fable 2, Gears of War 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, Saints Row, Viva Pinata, Banjo-Kazooie:Nuts & Bolts, Left 4 Dead, Dead Rising, and even Orange box was exclusive for a short time.
