My OH is! The graphics are stunning and he says the story is good too. He's not overly keen on the battle system and I have to say that's the one thing that's stopping me from buying it.

I lost the xbox and pS3 in the divorce, so I am debating if I should buy one just to play ffxiii. :lol:

Me too. I'm going to try my hand at the battling. It's such a huge part of the game that it will bug me if I don't like it.
You see your enemies rather than randomly running into them and it's active time battlerather than turn based.

Is it similar to ffxii, or further evolved? In ffxii, you could see your enemies, but the battle system was a mix between action and turn based, I believe. It took a bit to get used to, but once I got used to it, it was fine in my opinion.

You see your enemies as red dots on the map on screen, rather than the screen warping at random into a battle. Which is good because you can avoid them if you want to get somewhere faster.
From what I've seen you kind of control one character and set paradigms, it's all hectic. I prefer turn based, but if you love the series Sindee, get it because the graphics are stunning and OH says the story is good too.
