A Cary man who went missing earlier this week is considered endangered, officials said.

Bernard Brown, 68, was last seen on Sunday, Aug. 16 walking behind his home in the 300 block of View Drive near Ascent Lane around 5 p.m. He was reported missing two days later, Tuesday, Aug. 18, according to officials.

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued an endangered alert for Brown the same day he was reported missing.

According to Town of Cary officials, Brown is believed to be suffering from a cognitive impairment. Brown has missed several social appointments after he was reported missing.

PITTSBURGH — Police are looking for a missing woman who may need medical attention.

According to information shared by Pittsburgh Public Safety on Tuesday, Amanda Maloney, 32, was last seen at her house on the 3500 block of Simen Avenue in Brighton Heights on Friday.

Maloney is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs around 95 pounds. She has grayish-blue eyes and a shaved head.

The Special Victims Unit detectives said she may be in need of medical treatment.

18-year-old Camilla Fuentes went missing on Aug. 13 shortly before she was scheduled to move for her freshman year at Villanova University.

Her family thought she went to work and became worried when she did not return home. They later found her car in the parking lot outside the restaurant where she works in North Garland.

The car was parked just outside the view of the restaurant’s security cameras. Her keys, phone, Apple watch and Air Pods were all still inside.

However, Fuentes’s laptop and iPad are missing. She also has not used her debit card or bank accounts.

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two missing and endangered teenagers with autism.

Investigators say that 18-year-old Eric Hisle and 18-year-old Talon Laccone were tubing on the Deep River from Coleridge to Bennett Road. They were dropped off on NC 22/NC 42 near River Heights Drive.

The two teens were supposed to be picked up at the Bennett Road bridge; however, the pair never made it to the pickup location, according to the sheriff’s office.

A shocking update has ended the mystery of a missing child and kidnapping case, as a teenager who disappeared from Chicago has been found four years later in Virginia, having been held captive all this time, according to NBC 5 Investigates.

The alleged kidnapping happened outside a Chicago movie theater on June 23, 2022, according to law enforcement. The 15-year-old girl had taken an Uber from Milwaukee to Chicago to meet a man who had arranged the ride for her, authorities said. She had been communicating with the man online for several years, they said.

Investigators said the man convinced the teen to meet up, and he held her captive ever since that day.

“Her dad called me and was like, ‘Her phone’s going to voicemail.’ I knew immediately it was just off.”

The parents of Joniah Walker, now 19, said they knew a switched-off cellphone was the key clue that their daughter was in danger.

Four years later, Walker was found 730 miles away, in a small frame home in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Police said she was sexually and physically abused while being held as a captive by 37-year-old Owen Anderson. Records state the man disposed of her cellphone — and a burner phone he’d sent her to use — in a sidewalk trash can.

A few days ago, Milwaukee County authorities filed kidnapping and child abduction charges against Anderson, who has yet to appear in Wisconsin court and is still in custody in Virginia.

Milwaukee police declined NBC 5 Investigates’ request to discuss the alleged kidnapping or answer questions about the investigation. An officer on the case had previously said they had no indication the teenager had been targeted by an organized abduction ring.
