MotorMouth fourth 'Brown Noise' will be dedicated to celebrating the life of Tatissa Zunguze. A staple of the Scripps Community, Tatissa was a well known face and fierce leader on campus. The lost of her presence has and will continue to affect the 5c community deeply and in ways barely tangible to us at present. This Thursday we will hold an open mic/open stage to all those who have been affected by Tatissa during her life and/or by her passing. Poetry, song, stories or any experiences revolving around Tatissa's life and/or the effects of her death are welcome to be shared. We request only those who are genuinely affected or honoring attend--though this is an open-mic, this is not a pain spectacle. As Black admins and students in Claremont, we realize the extreme emotional hardship that affects the POC (Specifically Scripps Black Women) community by losing one of our own in an already vicious environment. For those reasons, and in the 'Brown Noise' tradition, this space and stage is catered towards POC peoples especially Black women/non-binary folk.
