The National Pro GRID League is mourning the loss of Bonnie Weinberger, a referee who has been part of the NPGL family since the birth of the sport at its first event, the Los Angeles Combine, in 2014. She passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 12, at the age of 43.

Bonnie was a mainstay on the GRID, refereeing matches throughout the league's first two seasons, and she was looking forward to traveling to Utah from her home in Los Angeles to be a part of the close-knit crew again for Season 3.

We join Bonnie's friends and family in honoring her, grateful for her contributions from the beginning and for helping shape GRID into what it is today.

"Not only was she a great referee, but she had a very kind way about her and she's been with GRID since the beginning," said NPGL Commissioner Aaron Bailey. "She will be missed by the entire GRID family."
