A 21-year-old Covina resident was identified as the woman who was struck and killed by a train late Thursday night.
Natalie Metrie died in the collision with the train around 10:53 p.m. October 13. An exact cause of death has yet to be determined. An autopsy is pending, according to Lt. David Smith of the Los Angeles County Department of medical Examiner-Coroner.
Metrie was found on the portion of railroad tracks between Banna and Bonnie Cove avenues. Covina Police officers were on scene, investigating the deadly collision past 4 a.m. to determine if the death was accidental or a suicide, said Sgt. Ryan Davis of Covina Police.
