Services for Diane Chitty Thornburgh, 50, of Myrtle Springs are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at Eubank Chapel with Bro. Mack Swain officiating under direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.
Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton.
She passed away Sept. 3, 2011, in Myrtle Springs.
Diane was born Nov. 28, 1960, in Dallas to Claude and Catherine Hall Smith.
Diane graduated from Canton High School. She worked for First Baptist Learning Center in Wills Point for seven years before going to work for Fuji Color Processing, where she retired after 19 years. Diane was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. She loved her granddaughters as much as they loved their "Nanna Di." She loved being outdoors whether she was hunting, fishing or working in her yard. Diane always put others before herself and she loved her family more than anything. She was a loving person with a contagious laugh.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Vincent Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Thornburgh of Myrtle Springs; son, Aaron and Sara Chitty of Waco; daughter, Jennifer and Chris Warnick of Gladewater; granddaughters, Kayla Phillips of Greenville, Madison Willis of Gladewater and Chayan Warnick of Gladewater; sister, Melinda and Michael Wallace of Myrtle Springs; and brother, Daniel and Debbie Smith of Edgewood.
Pallbearers are Ronnie Thornburgh, Bobby Cale, Wesley Sherwood, Wayne Smith, Bailey Cale and Daniel Smith II.
Family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
