Jacob W. Johnson, 19, passed away unexpectedly on July 18, 2015.

Born on Feb. 24, 1996, he was a resident of Wadsworth for six years, previously of the Barberton/Akron area. Jacob was a 2014 graduate of Wadsworth High School and was employed by the Comfort Inn in Wadsworth.

He was a member of Crossroads Community Church, and loved all outdoor activities and spending time with his family. His family takes comfort in knowing that from his own writing, Jacob was saved and became a member of God's family on Dec. 2, 2009.

Preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Milly Hughes, who was waiting to greet him into Heaven, Jacob is survived by his mother and stepfather, Moriah and Quamaine Crawford of Wadsworth; his father, Matt Johnson of Texas; siblings, Lucas Johnson, Eliana Johnson, and Isaiah Crawford; grandparents, Shelly and Rodney "Rick" Perry of Doylestown, Art and Cathy Johnson of Norton, Catherine O'Brien of Barberton; great-grandparents, Vonna Johnson of Barberton, Howard Anderson of Pennsylvania; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 24 at 11 a.m. at Crossroads Community Church, 700 Gates St., Doylestown, with Pastor Jerry Butcher, officiating. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 5-8 p.m., or one hour prior to the services Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads Community Church Youth Group.
