Colby Anderson, 22, of Spencer passed away Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014 in Hinton, Iowa at the farmhouse where he grew up.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Morningside Chapel, Christy Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be made to www.christysmith.com.

Colby was born on July 3, 1992, in Sioux City, to John Anderson and Stephanie (Colvert) White. He graduated from East High School. He was a proud member of the Army National Guard and participated in the Color Guard. Colby worked at Shine Brothers in Spencer and enjoyed playing video games and talking with friends.

Those left to honor his memory include his infant son, Ashton Anderson; mother and stepfather, Stephanie (James) White of Sioux City; father, John Anderson of Sioux City; siblings, Josh (Penny) Anderson, Elizabeth (Layne) Wood, Ryan (Angie) Anderson, Noah White, Jerimiah White, Heston White, Gavin White and Orren White; numerous aunts and uncles; nieces, April, Emma and Caroline; maternal grandparents; and maternal great-grandmother, Willa Jo Dye.
