Authorities released the name of a man killed after he was struck by a train in Davy last week.
McDowell County Sheriff's Office deputies said 38-year-old Randy Kennedy, of Raysal, died Friday morning.
Kennedy was allegedly trespassing on a railroad trestle when the accident happened, according to railroad officials.
The McDowell County Sheriff's Office and Norfolk Southern Railroad Police are investigating.
