Attorney General Scott Pruitt said the human remains found Tuesday in Custer County are believed to be those of missing teen JaRay Wilson. Wilson was reported missing from Weatherford in October 2012.

According to Pruitt, authorities went to an area several miles north of Weatherford where they found partial skeletal remains at about 9 a.m. Tuesday.

We are now waiting for the medical examiner's office to confirm the identity of the remains.

WEATHERFORD, Okla. -- The Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics is investigating new leads in a missing person's case two miles north of Weatherford Tuesday.

Officials said a tip led them to skeletal remains in a remote area a few miles north of the Weatherford airport and it could be connected to a 14-month probe into the disappearance of 16-year-old JaRay Wilson.

The teen went missing in October 2012.
