Steven Michael Hays, 37, Inverness, Fla., passed away. Steven was born on March 25, 1976 in Sacramento. He proudly served our country in the United States Army, with a tour of duty in Korea, Iraq and three tours in Afghanistan. He was a member of VFW Post #4337 of Inverness.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Gary and Kimberly Hays, Inverness; brothers, Kevin Hays, Tupelo, Miss., Daniel Hays, Gainesville; sister, Sara Doerr, Ocala; aunts and uncles, Roger and Judy Hays and Lynn and Edward Hoch; paternal grandmother, Jean Hays; and many extended family members and friends. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A celebration tribute to Steven's life will be announced at a later date. Inurnment will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements. -
