A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 26, at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Eugene for Christopher Thomas Bales of Portland, formerly of Eugene, who died March 17 from an overdose. He was 21.
He was born Oct. 19, 1988, in Las Cruces, N.M.
He was a student at Portland Community College and worked as a political canvasser and waiter.
Survivors include his parents, Doug Bales of Eugene and Rebecca Peterson of Grants Pass; a sister, Sara Bales of Grants Pass; and grandparents F.G. and Joan Peterson of Las Cruces and Faye Williamson of Bardstown, Ky.
Arrangements by Sun-set Hills Cemetery & Funeral Home in Eugene.
