Travis James Whalen, a lifelong resident of Lincoln, Calif., passed away unexpectedly on June 1, 2011. He was 20 years old.

Travis was born on December 12, 1990. He was preceded in death by grandfather John J. Whalen; great-grandmother Alice Aguilar; great-grandparents Roger and Jane Stady. He leaves behind his loving parents, James and Tina Whalen; devoted sisters Samantha and Erin Whalen, all of Lincoln, Calif.; grandparents Nancy Whalen of Sacramento; Don and Marsha Morgan of Milford, Calif.; and many extended family members.

Travis graduated from Lincoln High School. He enjoyed playing youth football and baseball as well as high school football. Travis enjoyed anything outdoors and his favorite activities were abalone fishing and camping. Travis was a compassionate young man and earned the trust of many of his friends during their times of trouble.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011 at Adventure Christian Church, 6401 Stanford Ranch Road, Roseville, Calif., at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up in his name at Golden 1, 790 J Street, Lincoln, CA 95848.
