Shelbie Courtland, 15, of Scottville, passed away on Nov. 13. She was born Feb. 8, 1995 and was the daughter of Richard and Debra (Clark) Courtland.
She attended Mason County Central High School and was a member of 4-H and the MCC Equestrain Team. Shelbie enjoyed soccer, volleyball, camping and skating. She had a great love for horses and dogs.
Shelbie is survived by her parents, Richard and Deb Courtland; brothers, Jeremy (Ashley) Courtland, A.J., Devin, George, Josh, David, Tim and Michael Courtland; sisters, Misty (Rob) Favreau, Hope and Ariel Courtland, Tiffany Mattila, Sarah (Abraham) Gomez-Sotol; grandparents, Elmer and Lillian Courtland, Janice Clark; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her grandpa, Jerry Clark, and her aunt, Terry Clark.
A funeral service for Shelbie will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington with Pastor Jan O'Brien officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday evening, Nov. 16, from 4 – 7 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning from 10 until the time of service.
Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Ludington.
