An 18-year-old Hillsboro woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision Friday evening at the intersection of Farm Road 2841 and Bosque County Road 1606, the Texas Department of Public Safety reported. Abigail Wachsmann, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:40 p.m.

and was taken to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office for an autopsy.Wachsmann, a McLennan Community College student, was a passenger in a 1999 Honda Civic driven by Joseph Wayne Dowdy, 19, of Waco, who was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco along with Sabrina Michaud, 32, of Clifton, the driver of the other vehicle, a 2007 Dodge Nitro.

The DPS said Michaud was treated and released, and Hillcrest authorities said Saturday that Dowdy had been released.All were wearing seat belts.
