Dayton police are now calling a Dayton mother's death a homicide. Officers discovered the body of 27-year-old Demisha Mattison inside her home at 222 Clover Street on May 6. Her 2-year-old son was by her side, unharmed.
Police will not say how Mattison died, but they said significant evidence had been left behind, including DNA.
Monday, a 2 News camera captured Dayton police as they towed a car from the street in the 500 block of Clover Street for evidence in the case. Officers will not say who the car belongs to, or what they found inside.
Officers said they have a suspect in the case, and they're willing that person to come forward to explain what happened. If the suspect does not turn him or herself in soon, officers said they will release a name and photo to put on the pressure.
