Joseph James Sheehy, formerly of Leander, Texas went to be with our Lord on March 27th, 2011.

Joey, as he was known by his multitude of friends, moved to Leander about 5 years ago after growing up in Kettering, Ohio. He moved there from Toledo, Ohio where he was born.

Joey went to school at Leander High School where he was a sophomore. He had played several sports there including football. basketball and golf, and also played on other local football leagues which he loved. He had played football since he was able to put on a helmet, but he had many other interests such as a deep love of music, swimming, and just being with his friends.

He is survived by his adoring mother and step-father, Michael and Linda Christopher also of Leander, Texas. Also by his loving sisters, Ms. Jamey Sheehy of Toledo, Ohio, Ms. Jill Sheehy of Leander, Texas, and Ms. Jordan Sheehy of Cedar Park, Texas and by his devoted brother Mr. John Sheehy of Leander. He is also survived by devoted grandparents, Mr. Patrick Sheehy of Oregon, Ohio, Mrs. Joan Sylak of Toledo, Ed and Bonnie Sylak of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Herb and Sherrie Christopher of Jackson, Michigan. He was a beloved uncle to his adoring nephew Drake Sheehy of Leander, Texas. He is survived by his beloved aunts and uncles and cousins.

He was met in heaven by his father, Patrick "Brian" Sheehy originally of Toledo, Ohio.

He made friends fast, and kept them close for many years. His family and friends will miss him dearly.
